The Legal Manager is the guarantor of the legal and regulatory compliance of the company's activities. He advises and supports teams on legal aspects, negotiates and writes strategic contracts, and manages risks to protect the interests of the organization. This role involves constant legal monitoring to anticipate regulatory changes and ensure compliance with current laws. This strategic position is for those who want to play a key role in decision-making within the company, drawing on their expertise in business law and legal risk management.

MISSIONS

Reporting to the Human and Legal Resources Department, the Senior Legal Manager must support ongoing changes and respond, as soon as possible, to requests from General Management and operational departments (Sales, Marketing and Products, HR, Administrative and Financial, Technical, HR, HR, Administrative and Financial, Technical,) for the group's activities in Africa.

Its missions consist in:

  • Advise the group and its subsidiaries in the legal field and ensure legal monitoring in the daily functioning of the company in the various areas of its activity;
  • Prepare meetings of corporate bodies (CA, Audit Committee, AG) and provide the legal secretariat for meetings of company bodies and assisted participations;
  • Represent the Company during all phases of judicial and administrative investigations;
  • Complete and transmit to lawyers litigation files including Judicial Recovery;
  • Systematically verify the veracity and compliance with the law of the various duties, taxes, fees and taxes claimed by public services;
  • Oversee the preparation and signing of all of the company's contractual commitments;
  • Assist departments and services in decision-making and in the conduct of daily activities and issue recommendations on the way forward to protect the interests of the Company;
  • Coordinate regulatory monitoring on all of the subsidiary's activities;
  • Conduct a risk analysis on the Company's activities and ensure compliance with laws and regulations as well as with the standards of the Company's Commitments Group;
  • Supervise the actions of lawyers;
  • Perform any other tasks required by the hierarchy.

 

SEARCH PROFILE 

With a background greater than or equal to Bac+5 in Business Law, you have a confirmed experience of at least 10 years and you have/are:

  • Experience in new technology law, Digital and commercial law in Africa, in digital law/new technology/remote sales/data protection;
  • A good command of English;
  • Good listening skills;
  • Good analytical and negotiation skills;
  • Excellent written and oral expression;
  • Agile (several different interlocutors to manage at the same time).

 

SKILLS REQUIRED 

  • Good ability to analyze a legal diagnosis.
  • Good knowledge of applicable legal and regulatory provisions.
  • Good knowledge of financial services.
