The startup “InTouch” celebrated on Wednesday in Dakar, its 10 years of existence. Present in 26 African countries, its ambition is to revolutionize payments and financial services through a simple and inclusive approach. Digital players have also spoken out on the new digital transformation strategy SN 2034 “New Deal Technology” which, for them, will boost the digital ecosystem in Senegal.

“We are convinced that this strategy, if implemented, should greatly contribute to boosting the ecosystem. In the sense that there is one aspect that has caught our attention. It's the development of Champions. We think it is important to develop an ecosystem with emerging players, but it is even more important to ensure that there are national champions who drive development over the long term. And we think that there are a lot of nuggets like Intouch, but it takes a determined will, as stated in the transformation plan, for companies like Intouch to become references, champions in Africa today,” explained the boss of this pan-African fintech present in 26 countries.

According to Mr. Cissé, this will be difficult to do without a sustained state policy. “We hope that this transformation plan, as they say, will implement this and ensure that we can take advantage of it and develop the digital ecosystem,” he added.

His company has developed a comprehensive range of payment solutions, including mobile payment platforms, money transfer services, and financial management solutions for businesses. These tools have been critical in helping small and medium-sized businesses grow, while providing large businesses and governments with effective and reliable ways to manage their transactions.

Since its creation 10 years ago, InTouch has established itself as a leader in the field of omnichannel payment in Africa, having processed nearly 10,000 billion CFA francs.

The Digital Strategy SN 2034, called the “Technological New Deal” by the Head of State, will replace the former Digital Strategy 2025 (SN 2025), developed in 2016 and one of the main objectives of which was to increase the digital contribution rate to GDP to 10% by 2025.
